Book Island is the reason I came in SL back in 2007. At the top of the popularity of Second Life they organized a book fair that made the news in mainstream press (I heard about it on Italian radio, and so I decided to see what SL was about). They repeated the fair in 2008 and it was another great event.
After that the owners got married in RL and had a baby so the the sim was not active for a while (even if never neglected).
Now there are many regular events again.
It is the first group I joined and the first place I set as SL Home.
