the Tradewinds Yatch Club Boat Show
Here we are again! The Tradewinds Yacht Club has organized a new edition of its Boat Show, one of my favorite events in the SL calendar!
Like last years there are a number of lovely boats on display and it is a great fun to walk among them and to create some new needs to oneself :)
If you visit - and I strongly suggest you to do, it is worth - be careful that there are many textures to load in the area and they may take quite a while.
Have fun!

Dangerous waters
the waters of Winterfell can be very dangerous. Expecially in the south, the water around the Amaranthine castle rock can be very very tricky. The stream is strong and so many boats have been crashed on the rocks in the past.
Here is me, at the helm of the Star of Winterfell, in a particularly bad day when I barely escaped losing the boat and maybe worse.
As you can see other ships have been less lucky
Be careful if you sail in the area
Fair winds!

the updated Nepenthe Gate
The Nepenthe Gate is the Southern gate of Winterfell, the border between Winterfell and Caledon, linking Absinthe and Laudanum to Cape Wrath,
Miss Serra recently retouched the gate, retexturing and creating a path going into Laudanum and Absinthe. The new texture is now more in line with the more recent look of Winterfell.
Here is me taking the Exploring Star out of Winterfell and back in through the gate in a short cruise between Winterfell and Caledon.

the Victorian Town of Quirm in OSGrid
I had not visited other grids in a while. A couple of days ago I paid a brief visit to OSGrid. It was not the best moment - some server updates were going on and it was not very stable, but still I was able to walk around the lovely Victorian town of Quirm and to take some nice pictures that I'd like to share.
Quirm is a lovely place. Beautifully built and textured and definitely worth a visit. Some known Victorian names dwell there and there is even a Booksmythe extension :)
If you have a OSGrid account (if not, get one :) ) visit there
Have fun

Undercover Ops
Undercover Ops are nasty business but sometimes they are necessary, to drop an intelligence operative on hostile territory, for instance. Or to go through dangerous waters where showing the flag might cause an open conflict.
The Wild Fleet is too is sometimes involved in undercover ops and the ships of the Third Squadron, fast and deadly, are usually involved in these operations.
(Yes, I know ... I never mentioned the Fleet being divided into squadrons. That is for another post ;) )
The Shooting Star, a TSS Shebec, is the newest addition to the fleet, and it is part of the Third Squadron. She is a beautiful ship, very fast and maneuverable and very fun to take even into the most dangerous waters.
