Fleet Week ShipBuilders Awards
It has been a terrific exhibit and everybody deserved to be a winner. Many difficult decision and the voting has been spread on very many names.
Here are the results:
Submarine Class
A battle to the last vote between Jenne Dibou’s Barracuda and Ford Denja’s Leviathon. Both have collected also votes for best overall ship of the Fleet Week and were clearly very much loved.
At the end … for just one vote ...
Airship Class
Jenne had surely a great fleet week because …
Ironclads and Steamers
A most fought class … many vessels got votes and many more deserved to be awarded. But at the end one came on top and …
Honorable mentions go to
Sailship Class
This class saw three ships coming with the same number of votes, while a fourth builder got more votes than the others but spread on many ships, so four honorable mentions are awarded :

the 2011 Fleet Week of the Steamlands Opens today
SUNDAY NOVEMBER 13
* Shipbuilders' Expo and Shipbuilding Contest Begins
>> Shipbuilders offering nautical vessels and supplies from the Age of Sails, the Age of Steam and and the Age the Never Was will have displays along the piers and wharves of Winterfell Absinthe and Winterfell Laudanum, offering their wares to the Public.
The best vessels will be awarded trophies, and the public may vote on their favorites throughout the week.

* Exhibit of Naval Art Begins
>> An exhibit of naval themed pictures will take place at the Bright Star Gallery in Winterfell Laudanum

* NEW TOULOUSE BALL, 3 PM SLT
>> The Community of New Toulouse will host a Ball to relax after the fleet review in their Winterfell Embassy

* Windjammer Race, 12PM SLT.
>> Tall ships and wind-powered vessels to compete in this yachting race around the sailing field, before cheering crowds gathered on viewing stands. Trophies will be on hand for the winners.

>> The finest submariners - and their daring mechanical marvels - will line up to compete against each other in this underwater tournament. The Public won’t want to miss this epic event grid-wide famous for its underwater dirty tricks. Appropriate dress is encouraged.

>> The public is invited to attend a inter-Steamland nautical-themed Ball hosted by Breezy Carver at Piermont Landing in New Babbage. Naval uniforms for officers and sailors are encouraged. Shipbuilding awards and race winners will be honored.
